Hammer of the Ancients: An archaic building tool fueled by the Flame, capable of quickly erecting various structures around your home.

Can only be used within the range of a Flame Altar.

  1. Reach The Plains

    Embervale has fallen, consumed by the "Shroud". Bring back the light and reclaim the land by establishing a Flame Altar in the wilds!

    A promising site to establish a Flame Altar is marked on your map. Reach the location to proceed.

  2. Build A Flame Altar

    The Flame Altar will mark the spot for your base. In your base, you will later be able to craft and build shelter. Craft the Flame Altar and place it to establish your base.

    You don't have to place your Altar in the plains. You can choose any above Shroud area to establish your base.

  3. Talk To The Flame

    The Flame Altar is built, but the land is still strange and unfamiliar. Speak to the Flame in your new base to learn how to proceed.

    • Added a hint to use the Construction Hammer instead when placing voxel blocks directly from the action bar. We want to keep offering the option to place blocks in that way, but in most cases, using the Construction Hammer is just faster and more convenient.

    To help find the perfect material in the large selection, a new material catalog has been implemented. It can be accessed when wielding the Construction Hammer.

  3. Enshrouded: Pact of the Flame Update
    Building Improvements
    • When using the Construction Hammer, selecting a prop for placement, or equipping one of the new building tools, the camera can now be toggled to 1st person view for an improved building experience, especially in tight spaces. Now you only have yourself to blame for that misplaced chair.
  4. Changelog for Patch #6 v.0.7.4.2
    Changelog
    • Any active combat target lock is now automatically cleared when switching into building mode with the Construction Hammer.
