To tame an animal, approach it carefully while sneaking. Throw the bait food near the animal to attract its attention. Pet the animal while it's feeding, and repeat the process until it is docile. Once tame, the animal can be picked up.

You've obtained a new furry best friend. Bring them home to your base and place them there! Maybe they will let you pet them?
Make A Dog Bowl And Dog Bed
Your new friend is merrily strolling around your base. They would be even happier if you made a dog bowl and a dog bed for them!
Craft and place both items to proceed!
